Education Support Services at Allendale Christian is designed to help every student succeed in school. We have a variety of services that help meet student's different learning needs and styles.
Allendale Christian uses the RTI (Responce to Intervention) approach to service students who are unable to meet benchmark standards in certain areas. Once students are identified as "at-risk" they are placed in a specific intervention group that use research based strategies to help meet their specific need. Stuents are monitored frequently to check for progress. Once a student is able to reach the benchmark standards, they are no longer part of the intervention group.
Students who have IEP (Individualised Education Plans) also receive help from the Resource Room depending on their specific goals.
ACS works with the Christian Learning Center and Allendale Public School's Special Education Department to help diagnose and service students with different learning challenges.
We also offer Enrichment programs to students in grades 3-5 that qualify. Students engage in extended activities that challenge them in areas they are already learning about in school.
